Updated: 08/25/08 10:13 AM Mr. David and Margaret Borchard of Yardley, PA are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Rachel, to James R. Otis, son of Mr. Edward and Celestine Otis of Lancaster. The ceremony, officiated by Fr. Joseph Gatto, took place August 23rd at St. Gregory the Great in Williamsville. Ms. Borchard graduated from St. John Fisher with a Bachelor's in History in 2003 and from UB in 2007 with a Master's in Library Science. She currently works at KeyBank as a Lead Teller and also at the Buffalo Museum of Science as the Research Librarian. Mr. Otis graduated from R. I. T. in 2003 with a Bachelor's in Marketing and works for the family business, E. D. Farrell in West Seneca, in the Sales Department. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holiday Inn on Grand Island. The couple is delaying their honeymoon to the British Isles until next year. After the wedding, the couple will be at home in East Amherst.

Erin is the daughter of Kathleen M. Crissy and the late William L. Crissy of Lockport. Michael is the son of John &Maureen Johnson of Kenmore. The bride is a Special Education kindergarten teacher in Lockport. Michael is a fourth grade teacher in Niagara Wheatfield. Both are attending graduate school at Niagara University. After a honeymoon in the Riviera Maya, the couple will be at home in Lockport.

Ryan is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Ryan, and Mrs. Carol Gebhardt and the late Mr. Harold Gebhardt, all of North Tonawanda. The bride was escorted by her uncle, Robert Nichols. Rachel graduated Cum Laude from University at Buffalo with a B. S. in Accounting and is an Accountant for Lougen, Valenti, Bookbinder & Weintraub, LLP.

Updated: 08/17/08 6:46 AM Herb and Dorothea, native Buffalonians, left the nickel in 1996 and moved to Spring Hill, Florida. They are looking forward to returning to Buffalo on September 11 to visit old friends and family, and to celebrate their 62nd anniversary. Herb and Dorothea met on May 19, 1946 at a neighborhood dance and were married August 2, 1946. They had two daughters, Karen Kathleen Litman (deceased) and Deborah "Debbie" Dawn Falzone, married to Daniel "Dan" Falzone, who currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. Debbie and Dan will take them on a journey back in time to experience all of the joys that once were.

The groom's mother, Ann Kerwin, worked at the Corcoran Gallery until her retirement. The bride's sisters, Kimberly Hornung, Katie Fruehauf and Kristine Pottle, were bridesmaids. The groom's brother, Alex Kerwin, was best man. The couple will reside in Washington, DC.

This is also where they were first married on August 9, 1958. Following the renewal of vows, the couple celebrated with family and friends over dinner at Christy's Restaurant in West Seneca. He is retired from Westinghouse and she is a homemaker. Together they have three children and six grandchildren.
